Tony Marino joined Blueprint in July of 2025 as a Senior Managing Director - HUD. He has spent his entire 26-year career working in the HUD-insured financing sector. He has served in various roles in over 200 transactions totaling over $2 billion in mortgages ranging from New Construction to multi-facility portfolios.
He began his career working in the Construction Loan division where he handled monthly disbursements and administration of loans through completion on over $200 million of construction and rehab projects.
He was promoted to Vice President of Loan Administration where his duties included managing a $1.2 billion servicing portfolio, including processing of all monthly mortgage payments from borrowers, managing escrow requests, processing reserve account requests and acting as a liaison between HUD and the borrower on any issues.
He has spent the last 15 years as the Chief Underwriter and Closer for one of the leading HUD 232 Healthcare lenders. In this position, Tony handled communications between the borrower and the production team, assuring quality and completeness of all HUD applications. His duties included coordinating with 3rd party vendors on scheduling, deliverable production, the completion of HUD forms, the lender’s narrative, and obtaining application items from the borrower. Tony was the primary contact for HUD staff during underwriting, working extensively with HUD underwriters through firm commitment issuance. Tony served as the closer for all Cambridge loans, working with the HUD Closer and attorneys to coordinate the assembly of documents. His responsibilities included obtaining the necessary clearances, preparing the closing statement, and coordinating funding. Tony has also worked with HUD leadership on several occasions to refine and improve the HUD 232 program’s underwriting policies.
Tony is the primary contact for the sale and placement of all GNMA securities issued by Cambridge, working with borrowers and GNMA investors to secure the permanent interest rate.
